They might just shorten it to Gunther now :yeshrug:
This would’ve happened regardless :dead:

Either way, these name changes are dumb as hell when Walter has been under WWE contract for exactly 3 years as Walter. It’s as silly as them having a tron graphic that said KENTA and announced him as Hideo Itami :laff::laff:

He probably wants to keep the WALTER name for himself in case he leave or gets fired it won’t be trademarked by WWE so he’ll have free use.

Certain legal things makes this happen. I'm sure if he wanted to keep going he had to change and he likely doesn't want WWE trademarking WALTER and not being able to use that as a fall back if he ever got deavored.

If it’s a trademarking issue then it really is no reason to go hellbent over this shyt.

Life goes on.
Like all things you just have to get used to it.

I hope they just stick with Gunther because they don't need any more Nazi stigmas. :whoa:

German (also Gunther, Günt(h)er) and English: from the Germanic personal name Gunter (Old French Gontier),

composed of the elements gund ‘battle’ + hari, heri ‘army’.

Battle Army :ehh:

WALTER = "commander of the army."

Now I think I understand how he chose the name. It's very similar.
