To me NWA only has one album ......after Cube left they became caricatures of the "OG"NWA ...,Cube was the soul....with that said I love NWA but......... Wu over ........early RZA production :whew:

this nikka tells no lies. efil4zaggin was mad doofy. i can now go back and see how it influenced things for better or for worse (debatable) but i can't rewind and love the record in real time. i hated that album. and i loved the 100 miles & running ep.

I'm counting the first five Wu solos as group albums for this thread. I'm not counting solos from Cube or Dre b/c they had left NWA at that point and did not collab with anyone from NWA.
I'm voting based on who had the better music. NWA was more influential.

ok but you have to include Eazy-Duz-It and No One Does It Better for NWA. i would only count Liquid Swords and maybe OB4CL as "Wu Tang" albums

i have to vote for Wu-Tang as much as it pains me to go against NWA they were really the first Hip Hop group (and the solo members) that i loved and really brought me into Hip Hop. Wu were extremely close behind that tho and they would be the 2nd group i really got into

It was supposed to be just material released under the group name, but people weren't sticking to that in the Wu Mobb thread. So I think if we're counting solos it has to be from group members while they were still in the group. So yes to Eazy and no to DOC.
Counting solos makes sense for things like impact as well. Those first five Wu solos of course strengthened those five as solo artists - but also made Wu as a whole legendary.

straight 180... i aint mad tho

nwa: first two projects classic. i count eazys first. thats a classic too. that last album was goofy like big mel said. i didnt like that at all. broke up within 4-5 years? best mc gone after one. ddo they even still do music.. classic legacys from 3/4-5 members.do not collab at all. all time classic production
wu: 7 album run in 5 years, 20 years still together, still make pretty good music..classic legacys from 4-6/9 members..still collab together . all time classic production.

both influenced by PE,

and before anyone keeps telling me those albums arent wu tang cds, read the interviews by easy mo bee where pretty much since day one, they were together shoppin their shyt together.wu tang albums are made up of different combinations of rappers. those same combinations are inside those SOLO albums.its moot at this point. thats why wus gonna win.

sounds more & more like a crew, rather than a group with every post.

if you have 5 or 6 group releases, and you have to resort to counting solo albums in order to defeat a group with 2 albums & 1 EP......................

...................then your group really aint ALL THAT.

if youre gonna count wu solos, count nwa solos too, regardless of whether they were part of the group or not

either consider the totality of it, or limit it to group albums

i aint mad at either approach or either choice

i aint mad at wu being the greatest rap group ever
