Cody is very lucky he's been able to leech of the Elite since leaving WWE. Without them he's basically TNA scrub status
True, and it looked like it was going that way for a minute. He is absolutely riding the coattails of the Bucks and Omega, and I say that as one of the few posters here that actually thinks Cody is decent. When he is no longer in the same promotions with them, he's going to have a wakeup call.

Finally able to watch.

It was nice listening to Cornette again. He's still got it as a color commentator.

They even dusted off former WCCW/GWF referee James Beard for this. :heh:

Everyone is rightfully complaining about the audio issues, but they really needed better lighting as well. Lots of action/interviews taking place ringside and the guys were almost in the dark.

- Match A & B of the National title tournament were fun, quick-paced matches that should've gone a bit longer. Especially Match A. Shaw is a monster. I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of him. I didn't realize he did narration for the Ten Pounds of Gold series.

- Barrett Brown vs. Laredo Kid was good. Brown was the most recent NWA Jr Heavyweight champion, so I imagine we'll be seeing more of him.

- Storm vs. Avalon. Avalon is a scrawny dork. If they're going to keep featuring him in NWA, it needs to be in the Junior division. I like Storm, but he moves like his neck is fused to his spine. Simple old school face vs heel match. This was thankfully short. I hope they continue to use Storm in some capacity. He's a great representative for the company.

- Jazz vs Penelope Ford. Ford is so fine. :noah: Match was nothing, of course.

- National title: Mack vs. Shaw was okay.

- Jax Dane & Crimson w/ Animal vs. Shannon Moore & Crazzy Steve w/ Jocephus. Didn't care. Skipped it, but at least they announced the return of the Crockett Cup afterwards.

- Aldis vs. Rhodes was a great match. Crowd hot the whole night, but especially thunderous for this match. One of the best matches to take place in North America this year.

Overall, the show was solid. They definitely have some production issues to work out. Interested in seeing how the company moves forward now.

Jocephus is a grand wizard. Corny never sound so washed. Makes me wonder how bad Paul E would be one night on commentary..

Jazz is still a killer.

I thought Mack/Shaw was okay but nothing special. Cody/Aldis was by far the best match of the night, IMO.

Tried watching this but the audio, lighting and transition problems made it unwatchable
