I literally remember Van Vleets first game and his first little streak of good games, I was 100 percent convinced he was the missing piece for a championship team. Everyone clowned me in real life for my analysis, but I kept saying the raptors needed a PG who could shoot the lights out as a back up because Kyle is such a distributor. Sure it wasn’t enough with Derozan but I knew he would perform.

I think EVERY raptors fan with half a brain knew Siakam was destined for greatness from his first season... I wonder where OG will be next season on his development.

Always wanted JV traded for his own good. Great player just a horrible fit for the Raps.

whats crazy van vleet and siakam were on the g league title team a few years ago, just shows the development.

I wonder if kawhi resigns do we bring back danny green or with anunoby coming back and powell etc. we go in another direction.

As well I think raps resign lowry to like a 2-3 year deal to end his career as a raptor but he transitions to a backup pg like jason kidd

I really learned to love Nick Nurse because he was largely the reason we beat the bucks. His game plan and rotations just exposing them for a lack of speed... neutralizing Ilyasova and Mirotic and exposing Brook Lopez. That being said we are one nick Nurse timeout away in game 2 from sweeping the warriors in the finals :dead:

im pretty sure any other coach hell i would. Would have stapled van vleet to the bench and not risk it but dude saved us.
Powell saved us against milwaukee but hes useless in this series

Everyone has bought in, ibaka could have been a cancer when his minutes were diminished but nope.

In chess the player with the more active pieces is usually more dangerous.

When your opponent is on the attack it helps a lot to have all your pieces developed so that they can be useful at some point for the defense... you never know when you’ll need a piece that you haven’t moved all game but it can come clutch and that mentality is why Nurse is a fantastic coach, rather than the stubborn ox Casey

casey would have prob started the season with siakam on the bench
masai made a great hire. The one thing I love about this organization everyone they hire are just legit good quality people from masai, bobby webster, nick nurse the assistants.

This summer is going to be huge for guys like boucher

The Stanley Cup is still king overall, but younger Canadians would rather watch the Raptors, polls say | The Star
"Hockey is still king in Canada, the polls say, but basketball is taking over in the younger generation — at least while the Raptors are rolling.

If they could choose only one sport to watch, 45 per cent of Canadian men age 18 to 35 say they’d rather watch the Raptors in the finals, handily beating the 39 per cent who’d prefer the Stanley Cup, according to an Angus Reid poll released this week.

Meanwhile, the attitude is reversed among Canadian men over 55, with 49 per cent saying they’d rather watch the hockey and 30 per cent saying basketball."
:mjpls:

this is across canada though if they only did toronto it would be vastly different. Hockey demographics are old and are dying, but you have to remember like 30 years ago if you were 30 there was no nba

I'm pretty sure JV, wright, miles will get a ring if they want it

They should have done their research, most teams are going to put up 40+ attempts a game.

If they raised it to 14 they could have saved themselves a little guap

i would say they make more money though, anytime i get free fries i usually add a burger. Without the free fries i'd have zero desire to go to mcdonalds
