I find so many underachievers who are good at getting B's & C's no matter the class. I don't care if its Molecular and Cell Biology of the Spinal Cord, they'll still get a B or C.

But they work twice as hard as I do because the information eventually becomes intuitive to me & I don't struggle to see the big picture. Its this myopic view that have towards life and education which makes them work the same crappy job at Walmart after graduating.

They never develop any real talent.

Exactly what I was trying to get at. But things being intuitive to you is a bit off track. My point was that people don't develop critical thinking and analysis skills. Thus, they become very limited in where they can be employed.

I know its two different sides of the coin, and seeing the big picture & being intuitive is one step further of developing critical/analytical thinking skills. The point I wanted to make, you don't have to put a lot of effort to get a degree. College degrees might have gotten watered down.

That's fair. They have been watered down and people just pick the easiest path to graduation. I think Brown may have it right by making a bunch of courses pass fail. Maybe that entire first year should be just so people can experiment. But make the prereqs tougher. But then again, colleges want high graduation rates.

Or require stricter gpa requirements to get specialized degrees, or all you can get is a Liberal Arts degree. I shake my head at someone failing physics and can still can get into the engineering school. Its almost impossible to get into medical school if you fail even one class.
