I get it the coach and GM lost the team they had to go.

My hot take on Denver is that Murray has been riddled with injuries and is clearly not the same anymore. He's lost his quickness. Porter hasn't improved like he should have and they lost key depth pieces they had during their championship year. It happens. Denver has ran out of assets and they have capped themselves with contracts of players that are not the same. The issue is Jokic won't have the window to wait around for a rebuild. Their hope is to go into the tax and sign veterans that can help them.

NBA is a star driven league if anything goes wrong with a team the coach takes the fall its never the players. Jenkins and Malone are proof of this both of them will get opportunities on other teams.

To fire a coach before playoffs is personal it's like in corporate America someone getting fired after they just received a raise and were a contributor to bringing success to an organization. It happens everyday.

i'm not saying he's the main reason, im saying just because he's getting numbers (kinda) doesn't mean he's actually playing well.

Peyton watson has been "a three pointer away" for 3 seasons now. He's just not that good. It's not malone's fault. When you have Nikola Jokic, you shouldn't be worrying about Peyton Watson, Pickett, or any other young player. They didn't replace the production of their championship vets and put in some young inexperienced, unproven, mediocre guys when they have a 3x MVP and all-time great player in his prime. That's why they're in this position. The GM paid Saric, MPJ, and let Jeff Green, Bruce Brown and KCP walk.

Calvin Booth has been bullshytting for a minute. Coaching isn't holding these guys back. Their bench is just putrid

Saric
Deandre Jordan
Westbrook
Watson
Pickett
Strawther

like WTF is anyone doing with this? Especially in a loaded western conference
Booth didn't pay MPJ. Connelly left that grenade for him on the way out the door to Minnesota. That contract is the reason Denver is completely stuck with this roster and in cap hell. He was already nearly impossible to trade and the new cap rules made it so there's no way out.

When Booth took over, he signed Bruce Brown for the low (which meant they couldn't pay him because of cap rules anything close to what Indy gave him) and he traded for KCP.

Booth didn't have a choice but to hope his draft picks worked out or some of these bargain vet guys panned out. They've had no money to spend for real players and no assets. Though not having any picks to trade is also his fault because of that stupid trade he did with OKC during the 2023 Finals.

Myers didn't do shyt. Jerry West built the dynasty
You know this how exactly? :jbhmm:
And why Jerry West, when the board had more members than him? Was Jerry West the only board member in the NBA that calls all the shots? :jbhmm:

Not questioning, genuinely wondering how cats know stuff like this unless they work there or heard it from people who do.

Yeah the Nuggets books are cooked. Malone is a prime candidate to go to another team and succeed. The Nuggets are going to be in hell for a while.

I’d throw Mike Brown into that group too. Fox twisted the knife.
