He wasn’t getting fired. This year is gonna be the first year in his 10 seasons in Denver that he didn’t beat his Vegas win total. He never underachieved to the point that he was in danger. Even now, it wasn’t his actual coaching ability that got him fired.
The reports were out there before that postseason run.

I completely forgot about Russ :dead:

That’s what Russ diehards and apologists don’t understand. You baking a cake and got a can of onions that you’ve been mandated to use. You might be able to do it and hide it but it’s never practical

And he’s got HOF cache and a team full of youngins and foreigners who are probably scared to step on his toes. So you can’t tell him shyt.

He we go with the scapegoat shyt when the teams best lineups and stretches were with Russ starting. By the time he comes back from injury and tries to get a rhythm going the dikk measuring contest between Booth and Malone is going full speed.

Booth wanting to try and develop rookies RIGHT NOW is nonsensical and more about a power struggle than anything because all people can say about the team is how poorly it was put together, even outside of Russ. And if he hadn't been there they wouldn't even be tripping about a possible play in, they'd have a worse record.

Murry has been ghost for a good portion of the season and is a turnstyle even when healthy, AG hurt, scared to move MPJ after the FA shakeups...but it all comes down to Russ.
