i dont really agree with this... idk how much alcohol it takes to get .05, but i doubt its very much. i dont think someone like me who likes to go out and have few needs some harsh ass penalty if i get pulled over. it takes quite a bit for me to get so drunk i cant drive. i feel like things like this are more for lightweights. maybe someone who rarely drinks is a threat from .05 but i think the majority of people can handle more than that and shouldnt be fukked over completely because of it. just my opinion

Thing is, most drunk drivers think they can handle their alcohol. It's why they get behind the wheel in the first place.

"Oh I'm definitely good to drive.". If you go out like that, you have a bit of money so get a cab there and a cab home.

Yea I'm more inclined to think this way. Certain states are too wrist slappy about it. It's dangerous flat out, I'm no angel in my early 20's I was a dumb fukk who thought he was superhuman as well luckily I got out unscathed, I've had a couple of folks I knew die driving drunk and these days people wear DWI's like a badge of honor as opposed to a legit wake up call. I'm not saying throw people in Oz for a year and send them straight to the hole but there need to be somewhat harsher more deterring penalties fine wise at the very least


Driving your own car home isn't worth risking your life to spare 20 or so dollars on a cab ride and the walk of shame to your car the next morning.

SMH at the anti-drunk driving white knights that would think this is a good idea. .05 is ridiculously low...like, low enough that you wouldn't even feel a buzz most likely. Here are things more distracting than driving with a .05 BAC:

Talking on a cell phone
Texting on a cell phone
Looking at a cell phone
Reaching for a cell phone
Talking to your passengers
Reaching for your kids in the backseat
Having kids in the car, period
Singing along loudly to a song on the radio
Looking at a billboard
Sneezing
Coughing
Yawning
Driving while tired
