Just watched the Snowden interview with Greenwald. Unlike Bradley Manning, he gave the people a public face to sympathize with by doing an interview. And he came off as very normal and reasonable, so it will be hard to manipulate public sentiment by painting him as an America-hating traitor.

Some are calling him a Chinese spy. Some are saying he did it to bring down a black president.

I've seen tweets where people want to charge him and Greenwald with treason.

Yeah some are saying that. But it remains to be seen what his overall reputation will be. Daniel Ellsberg is viewed positively by most. Doing the interview and getting his face and voice on record was a good move. They would've figured out he was the leaker anyway.

Got so many programmers and network engineers on my team with only high school education making 6 figures.


It is surprising for those outside of IT, but for those in the field...good programmers and high quality engineers are tough to come by.

Dude is probably a geek who wants to code all day or play with networks and is well versed in it.
There are so many fields in IT which cannot be "taught".

Most of the knowledgeable engineers/programmers I have come across in government and private sector are the ones without college education...

i saw a different whistleblower video in a thread here, but passed. then i was reading another interview last month (little old though). this man was with james bamford, it makes me wonder why if they call themselves ''ultra secret'', he gets info to write these authoritative and critical accounts? and safely befriends whistleblowers? isnt he ex-nsa? (if so, maybe he was partly ''played'' by hackmen?). not to allude, i just wonder how could this be acceptable?
