What do they have to get inovlved for. They could blame the parents for not properly securing their weapons from a son they were afraid of or they could point out how the lack of secure weapons lead to the boy taking them to commit a crime or they could just be quiet and let people go through their emotions before realizing Americans wont be parting with heat.

NRA Facebook Page Disappears | Wired Business | Wired.com

The Facebook page of the National Rifle Association disappeared this weekend in the wake of the elementary school shooting in Newtown, Connecticuit; the page’s former location now redirects users back to the home page.

Press accounts speculate that the staunch anti-gun-control group deleted its page amid a growing and impassioned debate over whether gun laws need tightening. A woman answering phones at the NRA’s public affairs office declined to immediately comment on the Facebook page Monday. When asked whether the Facebook move was indeed voluntary, she responded, “I do not know, sir.” The association touted its 1.7 millionth Facebook “like” in a tweet midday Thursday, prompting an fusillade of angry replies the following day, after the school shooting. An early-morning Friday tweet about NRA giveaways prompted a similar backlash and the group has not tweeted since.

The NRA’s Google+ and YouTube pages remain intact, but the NRA “locked” its most recent Google+ post, decrying a surge in federal background checks, preventing the post from being shared with others or commented upon. On YouTube, the NRA appears to have similarly disabled comments on its most recent upload. So it would appear that the most famous Second Amendment advocacy group is not nearly as keen on people exercising the First Amendment.

This case has not even one inkling of being self defense. Everything is politicized. You speak out when it helps your cause, and shut up when it doesnt. Make sense?

thats the essence of Bias and when Bias is proven to such extent, it becomes easier for advocate of anti guns law to make a successful appeal against legally carrying guns.

in reality, for such an important matter you speak out when your objectives are questioned.. not when it helps only. only reason it thrives is the money guns generates.

If they were smart they'd jump on it and express sympathy for the victims etc etc and talk about gun safety and so on

if you were a pro exotic car organization and an exotic car driver hit people you wouldn't go quiet... you'd have a point of view and say our heart goes out to the victims, senseless tragedy, here's the voluntary code of conduct we follow to ensure all cars are maintained and all drivers are prepared

People are shocked now but they'll come running back to guns when some crime between 2 races makes them think *what ever happened to the guns*

They dont hear you. Give up or find a way to make your voice louder.

they don't hear me cause they've shut down their methods of communication. seems rather self-fulfilling...
