We need a Madame Tinubu movie to even things out

And a couple Signare movies too

But black men aren’t petty like that so we just wear the demonization and shrug

Well there's a musical version being made into a movie to be released starring Fantasia and Halle Bailey, so why not discuss it??

Because they're not going to discuss all of it. It was a cluster fck after slavery was abolished and the civil war.. Thats how black people got into share cropping in that region. Some of the black men took advantage of women who had nowhere to go.. Its a uncomfortable conversation to be had
The only ppl I know on that "gender war" tip IRL are extremely dusty older brehs who honestly believe they're "entitled" to 18-20 something women they can "mould", the level of detatchment and delusion is sad and pathetic

Scary thing is, in a decade or two, ppl from all generations are gonna start falling for online grifters, I'm hearing about baby boomers getting fooled by improved AI and deepfakes on facebook :francis:

And on the bolded, yep, it's discouraging seeing whole ass Black adults mentally stuck in high school

Its a sight to see. :francis:

Ignore how Black women's mantra has been "N*ggas ain't shyt" for over 5 decades.

In reality, the only people really on the gender war are Black women. You don't see Black men sitting in academia intellectualizing stereotypes about Black women and you don't see us making articles claiming Black women are beneath us or we should date out cause all Black women are garbage. That's what they do, but nobody will ever be honest about where most all the vitriol comes from

Longer than that breh. Since Sojourner Truth

And When we sent them to school and they had to come home, they saw the men who stayed doing manual work as bestial. For a long ass time black men had their educations interrupted and the consequences from it have been compounding every generation. And the women were taught to read on the plantation before us by white women on purpose to create this dynamic too. When you feel like you’re better than someone one it creates resentment and contempt. That’s what education/spiritual enlightenment does sometimes, it actually makes the ego worse

Yea lots of brehs don't understand that Black men had to fight and kill to become educated while Black women were lifted up by whites. It's all to gas them up and make them feel above Black men like you said. Also an added sexual aspect in that white men wanted whores they could hold a conversation with

It goes very deep and gets nuanced in ways thats literally the same twitter viral threads you see every 2 months.

The discourse is in a doom spiral.

Black men have a ceiling over their heads due to white supremacy and seek to exact some control over their lives by holding it over their households

white women selling black women dreams knowing damn well black men could never achieve them...then black women holding the lack of black male success over their heads...

its a cluster fukk :snoop:

Then the men who get seduced by the right reasons but the wrong messenger who pushes conservatism (think Clarence Thomas) think the way to black liberation...is MORE female repression and black conservatism...just playing into white male superiority :snoop:

rinse and repeat :mindblown:

Wait. Really?!
Yes. Halle was filming on and off all this year. They had been transitioned The Color Purple to Broadway some years ago and now that version is coming to film.
Because they're not going to discuss all of it. It was a cluster fck after slavery was abolished and the civil war.. Thats how black people got into share cropping in that region. Some of the black men took advantage of women who had nowhere to go while they ran those former plantations.. Its really a uncomfortable conversation to be had.
It's definitely uncomfortable and I can see ppl using it to get their trash hot takes off, when the discussion is so, so nuanced.
