Kendrick's talent lies in his song crafting ability, moreso from his sophmore album onward. The emphasis is the music. Most rappers like nas and jay z are just rappers, there music truly isn't that great, their song structures are practically the same throughout the whole album, the music for the most part is average. Kendrick is kinda like Kanye if Kanye was an actual emcee
