Think about why Kobe was in scoring mode. That was the only chance the Lakers were going to have a chance to win those games. Hard to win games when your bench is below average and your teammates are too inconsistent.

If Pau was so good this season, why was he benched in the first place for a guy that was a throw in with the Dwight trade and a guy who was out of the rotation?

Think about why Kobe was in scoring mode. That was the only chance the Lakers were going to have a chance to win those games. Hard to win games when your bench is below average and your teammates are too inconsistent.

He was taking 20+ shots per game even when Nash, Gasol and Dwight were around. Hard to be consistent on offense when you got one guy dominating the ball and looking to shoot, I said earlier he should use the threat of scoring to set people up.

this nikka should have been racking up assist. he'd face less double teams if opponents know he's gonna regularly find the open player.

Ya'll do realize that in order to get assists, kats have to make shots. And to that point, if the goal is to win and I'm passing early and dudes aren't hitting shots, why would he keep passing?

Case and point, the game against the Pacers earlier this year. The rest of the team went 3 for 41, we were in a position to steal that game. And it was because Kobe started looking exclusively for HIS offense. If he continues to try to pass and they keep missing, we lose by 10+ every night.

Simply, Kobe is getting these asst numbers because they are actually making shots.

I see what you're saying but he should stay in assist mode for every game. plus every game won't be a battle like playing against the Thunder. And there's games where he shoots the Lakers out of games. games where he's like say 10-34(for example). There's games where he comes up gunning like crazy
