I thought you meant releasing it without any indication it is coming out, completely dropping out of nowhere. That would eliminate the possibility of Dre p*ssying out from criticism of a song and the album will finally be out. No more false hope of it coming out. It'll all be over. If it gets praised, he looks good. If it doesn't, it at least removes the pressure if he was to release an album after unless he completely loses it and it would only confirm that he's done.

It makes no sense for him to drop it all.

Just produce for upcoming talents.

He can hang up the mic too.

The gangsta talk is :childplease: at this point.

After Kendrick.

It makes sense now.

Dre has had the best young rapper in the game as a partner for each of his albums. Snoop for the Chronic, Eminem for 2001. And now Kendrick for Detox.

The three reasons I've still got hope in Detox is;

1- Kendrick Lamar (w/Black Hippy)'s influence on Dre.
2 - None of the average songs leaked in the last few years from the project have been produced by Dre.
3- Dre is one of the greatest.

Dr. Dre is a music perfectionist, he doesn't even want to work with E-40, what makes you think he'd work with Lil B who represents the exact opposite of everything Dr. Dre stands for musically?

this was the original concept for the title :heh:

Dr. Dre's Final Album Will Be Hip-Hop Musical - Music, Celebrity, Artist News | MTV.com

"I'm not talking about lowriders and blunts and all that anymore," Dre said at his studio recently. "I mean, that's played. As a matter of fact, I'm tired of hearing other people talk about it, to tell you the truth."

So what is the hip-hop pioneer going to talk about?

"I had to come up with something different but still keep it hardcore, so what I decided to do was make my album one story about one person and just do the record through a character's eyes," Dre said. "And everybody that appears on my album is going to be a character, so it's basically going to be a hip-hop musical."

Detox's story line will chronicle the life of a hit man, describing "what he goes through and how he lives his life," said Dre, who played a trigger-eager crooked cop in "Training Day." "[It's] about his family and how he makes a living."

once he dropped this concept, the title made zero sense.

he should just go with The Chronic 3000 cause thats around when we'll see it :to:

Dre needed Nate Dogg, when Nate got sick I knew it was pretty much a wrap for the album
