Funny thing is even tho dre has given up on this a long time ago, dre fans haven't given up. Think about '03-'06, he or some aftermath artists were saying it all over tracks (em, 50, game), we haven't heard anything like that in years. He dropped that with hov and another with snoop and nothing took off so he figured, **** it.

Dre's been running the clock out on his "rap career" since GRODT.

I dont blame him tho. He's 47 and doesnt write his own rhymes and he barely produces anything. Hip Hop lost for even wanting this cat to drop anything.

I cant think of anything that would be more LHolmes status than a bunch of songs from Dre & Snoop.

The songs he dropped prior to releasing "Kush" were all unfinished. "Kush" actually peaked on the Hot 100 at #34 and "I Need A Doctor" reached #4. After releasing videos for both songs, performing "I Need A Doctor" at the Grammys, and receiving a Grammy nomination for that song, and still no album, it's likely that it won't be released.

If Dre released Detox today, I doubt we'd get a Dre produced album. The last production with his name in the credits is a track that landed on T.I.'s mixtape and that song is from 2009.

Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, The Game, Crooked I, Slim the Mobster are all under Interscope. That's a lot of talent that could work with Dre on his album who are under the same label.
