Being from the area where these churches burned down this is interesting. 3 100+ year old black churches intentionally burned down gets 2 pages but here you already have 5+ pages of "Black" people upset about a French church being accidentally set fire :mjpls:

The coli is mostly anti black (american specifically) and has been getting ridiculous since trump got in office

I should ignore this

Cause it’s a fight waiting to happen

Any affinity for European culture is seen to be somehow off code and c00ning

But an historical landmark has been severely damaged

As a student of history it bothers me

And I really don’t have to say this but I would feel this way about any cultural landmark being damaged

If someone damaged the kaaba stone in Mecca I’d feel the same way

Same way I was upset with the destruction of Accra and Mali historically same way I was upset with George W for destroying the history of Iraq
Doesn’t have to be a fight just bc I don’t agree with your sentiments. As a bachelors degree in political science holder I know that history and politics are intertwined, there’s a lot of nefarious acts and meanings, and symbolism behind these so called structures. Not to mention the political aspects -where did the funding come from, reason it was built, govt involvement = corruption.

As a lifelong student of African American history - I don’t give a shyt about tears that cry for this bc we don’t get the recognition for our contributions to architecture, engineering etc for things that we help to create and seeing how the French pillaged and oppressed African countries. . There’s no emotional connection or spiritual connection for me to any of those places.

as a former catholic school attender , deviant pedo fuks probably built it as a sacrifice to satan as part of an occult ritual, with a torture chamber.
Like some of the buildings in Washington DC and NY

say what you want, I was distraught by this. Imagine if it had been the church in Birmingham or your own local church. churches are appart of an cultural fabric in their societies. They hold so much art and history and stories.
we dont have to imagine. Black churches go up in flames pretty much monthly. Nobody gives a fukk outside of those directly connected to the congregation. yet your "distraught" over this one. :jbhmm:
