Might sound crazy but I think it's worth the risk.

* Dame has 4 years left on his contract...If the experiment fails he'd still be a hot commodity...More teams would probably have an interest in trading for Dame which would increase Portland's return...If Boston comes up short again maybe Brown becomes available.

* Simmons only has 2 years remaining on his contract...If it doesn't work out you can just let him walk in 2025 and clear up cap space...Simmons expiring contract would also be an asset.
