These teams are retarded what an idiotic contract all because of a championship won as a role player teams, fans, media will continue to gas circumstantial team accomplishments.

Pacers have $91M in salary on books. Salary floor (90% of cap) is $122.4M. New CBA penalizes teams (they won't get profit distribution from luxury tax paying teams) for not meeting salary floor coming into the season. That's what this overpay is about.

They could have got another player with a similar skillset/production for a fraction of the price.
Sound like the kind of player who's gonna wind up replacing Bruce Brown in Denver.

For 2 years, it's ok even for an overpay. In a year he becomes an expiring with championship experience. If they're still ass they can get something decent for him
