not even the seance scene with the mother first contacting her daughter?Hereditary didn't scare me at all. But that ONE scene was extremely unsettling
that fukked me up..
maybe one of the best spooky/seance scene in a long ass time.

Is that WotW worth a watch?Reminds me of that scene in Aliens v Predators
and there was a similar scene in War of The Worlds series on EPIX.
I was like, alright -enough already with movies using that route bc that’s a horrible “trend”, but then after I watched a few episodes of WOTW, I understood the connection so it wasn’t strictly for a graphic reaction like AvP. Look at the symbolism of the shape of the earth.
hereditary.
in the dark. alone.
make sure its a good size tv with sound.
I was in the same boat as you.
Nothing scared me.
I was just about to make a thread on this
best shyt i've seen in years and i actually got chills
dont watch any trailers just go in blind.
Stir of Echoes
Arachnophobia, by the end of it you'll swear that theres a giant ass spider somewhere lurking in your house
The Strangers? I didn't forget about Prey at Night, and I also don't expect to be shook, but I haven't come across this one. Gonna queue it up for this wkend
Not scary imo, but a dope af movie if you're good with a slow burn. The atmosphere is thick af, straight overbearing. shyt goes off the rails eventually and I found it worth it. I thought Ari Aster was gonna be the guy based on that one
You need to holla at @LaBellaNicole0416.NYC
She will put you on to something that’s gonna make you rethink your existence
I'd go with Suspiria (1978) or Possession (1981) personally. Possession is much more of a surrealistic slow burn though so prepare yourself.
Oh wait, you want something more modern. In that case, and echoing others...Hereditary is legit probably the best modern horror that has came out in the past decade.
It Follows is a modern gem too, with an 80s Carpenter esque score to accompany its anachronistic style. It's pretty brutal at times. I had my fair share of issues with the final act, but overall loved the idea of it.
Annihilation was pure Lovecraftian what-the-fukkery. The bear scene is what most remember it for but the score and aesthetics have you on edge throughout.
Issa slow burn. Depressing!!! Very sad, melancholy series but great atmospheric tension. Anything more I say would spoil it. I would say yes, bc I actually liked the storyline and how it progressed. Idk Jello - it’s really one of those series where you have to check it out for yourself. But I’m actually looking forward to Season 2 and where they take it. This is a UK series so keep in mind it’s not like a long drawn out conventional US series with a lot of episodes. It plays out like a mini-series So they pack a lot of the plot in. There was one particular family exchange they could have left out - you’ll see what I mean if you watch it.Is that WotW worth a watch?
Random asf. Thanks breh, but I already watched that alone, at like 3AM. I watched on my laptop tho. It was up in my face so I paid attention to detail.
Don't get me wrong, it was a dope movie but I just wasn't bothered, mentally. (Damn that sounds fuucked up to say. lol.)
Im gonna watch this this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.
I will add this to the list. Thanks breh.
lmao, I watched this as a kid. I doubt I will watch it because Im not bother by spiders at all. (except those spiders that eat camels...)
Are those names of movies? "The strangers" and "Prey and Night"? If so, are they good?
Completely random but I think @LaBellaNicole0416.NYC has a crush on me.
Stop. There’s a lot of decent horror movies if you know what to look for.lmao, I watched this as a kid. I doubt I will watch it because Im not bother by spiders at all. (except those spiders that eat camels...)

I will try those older movies later. Older movies/shows kinda bother me because the black characters are always on/in some goofy shiit. I don't want to see c00ning on my personal time.
It’s 1) The Strangers
And 2)Strangers: Prey at Night
1)
2)
It’s definitely not as good as The Strangers, not even close. But if you just want to have something to watch, it’s okay. I didn’t hate itI saw strangers didnt know of prey at night
