You know the rangers where due for a ring, they should’ve went back to back when Ron was the coach

I've been an avid baseball defender on this board, but I'm not surprised about the low interest for this World Series.

Lack of starpower, randomness of playoff "tournament" and two B tier franchises playing is tough to overcome.

I'm finally going to admit overrepresentation of foreign born players is hurting the game as well.
I think it’s the nature of baseball to have results like this, baseball is very random, what do you mean by foreign representation

I can only really think of one situation where a team bought a ring

The expansion of playoff teams and the new playoff format have changed the MLB postseason. You would get wild card teams making a run, but more likely than not the best regular season teams would be in the CS and WS.

Nothing is wrong with the growing foreign representation in MLB, but it hurts the sports marketing when the best players aren't native English speakers

The Rangers were arguably the best team during the regular season. They had terrible luck with injuries all season. Especially down the stretch. When DeGrom and Eovaldi were healthy, they were the best team in baseball. It took two long losing streaks ,multiple all stars, and most of their starting rotation being hurt down the stretch to keep them from challenging for best record. It has benefited them though. They have a good rotation of backups, and adding Monty and getting more starter innings has pushed guys like Gray and Dunning into the middle relief role after having pretty decent seasons as starters. Cant forget Eovaldi,Jung and Heim had injuries that would have ended their seasons in late August/earlt September. Jung just starting to get back to form. Even now they got All Star caliber players out within injuries.
