J cole isn't a trash rapper, and I usually think his albums are good/decent after the first listen, but after that first listen I never end up playin the shyt again

Yep.

Cole can definitely "rap"...but ultimately its just lacking that sort of real innovation that keeps you running back.

He's great at being "alright"

And thats just not enough....especially for someone considered an "elite" artist.

Let me just say this.

Its really not a good look when the artist you look up to can honestly be regarded as mediocre by so many people. It should be that universally expressed.

Even the most "hip-hop" music reviewers point this out. This has been said for over 5 years now.

Cole is out here just maybe incapable of pushing forward.

Feature-wise, Cole has shined here and there...but this Lupe shyt?
