Stop it. You just feel a certain way that some people see the new Lupe album as cryptic, pseudo intellectual fluff for snobby nerd elitists, and rap fans that wanna feel like they're witnessing otherwordly rap music. It's just good. Nothing spectacular. And Cole has several records that has a message that is more against the grain and machine than ANYTHING on Lupe new sh!t.
Having records about a topic doesn't mean its a good record.

Is Drake a better rapper than Kendrick?
Uh...Kendrick has more to rap about...but I think Drake is a lot wittier.

I'd rather listen to Drake, but Kendrick is unique in his approach to the game. He's like a lesser Lupe, but nonetheless talented.

Kinda different artists.

That's were most of this trouble comes from. These nikkas think that lyricism = good music. Lupe been had bars but now a days he let his stans feed his ego and over doing it to try and live up to this image he and his stans have

I think the magi song was the best mix of being witty, lyrics and being good music off the album. In the real world nobody is trying to sit down and find meanings that aren't there. That's work not entertainment lol. Revenge of the nerd lupe was entertainment with double and triple entendre bars. This lupe is leaning more towards forcing complexity in his raps to keep his niche.

3 months from now I'll play Coles album before lupes

TRUTH.

Lupe approached all his tracks as a lyrical exercise. Cole made a cohesive album with a central theme that has a beginning and a conclusion. Cole talking about things in a slightly different way that anyone can connect with (A Tale of 2 Citifiez/Hello), Lupe taking played out themes (the hood so messed up, no one wants to come through) and lacing it with rappity rap (Deliver).

Eh, the existence of this thread already proves that Cole "won" in this made up battle between the biggest selling hip hop artist of 2014 and a dude debuting an album with about the same amount of sales as soundcloud plays I get in a week. :shaq:

No Cole fans making a thread, "How you listen to Kendrick/Drake/Lupe when Cole killed the game?" All 600-700k of us are just enjoying the music... :blessed:

:sas1:
Lupe fans looking a little nervous.
:sas2:
Cole world, nikkaz.

How someone can listen to j cole after listening to a blu record baffles me.

Recommend an album. I've been hearing about this Blu comparison for a while now

but Cole will never touch Lupe lyrically .....forget it
