Not only does the PS5 not favor game preservation, but certain PS3 games are unable to get patches n

What 20 year game you know of has some essential patches?

Some do exist, to the point of recalls. It's not uncommon to have an older, buggier copy of a game in that time either. Older ones or the buggy ones are worth more to the right collectors.

Though usually a re-release (like Player's Choice) will have the latest versions.

20 year? PS3 titles would be no older than 14 years old, but MGS4 had a patch that removed the installs between act (where you watch snake smoke for 5 minutes)

The PS2 games rarely required game fixing patches

It's not some, it's every game. Ps3, ps4, ps5. If you pop a game in, you're gonna have to download patches. It doesn't even mean it's buggy.

Tryna play lair? You ain't gone have the traditional controls.

Tryna play gta 4? No gay tony.

All the games with patches that didn't do shyt noticable.

All the games that add characters, dlc, and all that shyt.

not even MS is going to keep an old game library for your entire lifetime. they all will shut down one day. own the shyt outright as much as you can. and also, one day all this stuff will be ROMs and EMUs, so investing in a PC is a good idea if you refuse to buy the physical media :yeshrug:

This affects physical media too, maybe even more so.

And Microsoft has a much better track record on this, you can still download and patch OG Xbox games to this day.

Only people who care about this are people who have nothing to play (Xbots)

Only idiots fanboys say shyt like this. Games such as Left for Dead has 20k players everyday. Fallout games etc.. Why not put the pressure on Sony to start preserving their games???? They been in the game for almost 30 years

This was a year ago, black ops. I still play and buy ps3 and ps2 games.

Sony ain't shyt for this. I was browsing the store last week and you couldn't even add shyt to your cart.
