20 year? PS3 titles would be no older than 14 years old, but MGS4 had a patch that removed the installs between act (where you watch snake smoke for 5 minutes)What 20 year game you know of has some essential patches?
It's not some, it's every game. Ps3, ps4, ps5. If you pop a game in, you're gonna have to download patches. It doesn't even mean it's buggy. Some do exist, to the point of recalls. It's not uncommon to have an older, buggier copy of a game in that time either. Older ones or the buggy ones are worth more to the right collectors.
Though usually a re-release (like Player's Choice) will have the latest versions.
That’s the point. You can’t do this. Unless you already have the patches downloaded you will no longer be able to get them.Y’all so lost in the sauce. Nobody cares about this shyt honestly, if you wanna play ps3 games just plug in your ps3
This affects physical media too, maybe even more so.not even MS is going to keep an old game library for your entire lifetime. they all will shut down one day. own the shyt outright as much as you can. and also, one day all this stuff will be ROMs and EMUs, so investing in a PC is a good idea if you refuse to buy the physical media
