I said it before.

Niccaz will tell you to dig/go on long epic journeys across barren lands just to find a fukking ritz cracker.....

And then have the nerve to tell you there's no famine.

The musical landscape looking post apocalyptic, on some Mad Max shyt, but there's no famine....you just gotta search:skip:
Exactly. Does a puddle of water in the Mojave suddenly mean you ain't in the desert?

and it's always hilarious how all you 'digging' cats never mention names and specific songs. You don't even champion the artists you claim to love.

Cats on here know I love Live.Love.ASAP and I champion Rocky for the most part. And I was telling people that mixtape was classic/near classic before most figured it out. If someone's dope, you champion them.

Y'all always go mute when asked what songs you loved in any given year and by what artists. And we know it's a coping mechanism to avoid being exposed for having shytty taste/low standards. It's so tired :russell:

Is this another "do my homework for me, ie receipts?" post of yours hidden in some bullshyt bravado? yea ok. Oh and grats on dapping one project nonstop for 2 years and having little basic knowledge of anything else. Yea it was a super dope mixtape breh, and if you consider mixtapes to be classic worthy (I don't, personally) it was a classic. Came out 5 years ago fam....

Meanwhile in the real world we just had some "best albums of 2016" threads where people name dropped various shyt, I've made threads about shyt we like that might not be well known, etc. I've checked out various albums based off DEHH alone. I look at bandcamp, etc. Because, you know, I like hip hop.

stop crying. I have quality taste.

Not only do I have quality taste, but I actually champion the music I think is dope: SirBiatch's Top 6 bangers of 2016 :ohlawd:

I tell you why I think it's dope. And a lot of the times, people agree with me.

Learn from Biatch and see how it's supposed to be done.

Of course, not surprisingly, you're still mute on who's making incredible music in 2016 and providing receipts. Again, shyt is tired

Live.Love.ASAP is classic :umad:
:russ: at implying that I should've moved on from it, despite no one coming out with a better project since (or even being close)
This is what we're talking about. You low-attention-span-having pretend-posters ensure that the game is flooded with constant mediocrity, which you'll swear has hidden gems but insert excuse #23 about 'old heads' :laff:

Another way I like finding shyt is just following a diverse group of ppl on twitter. House Shoes is gonna tweet about dope beat tapes that come out. Ahmed (ie formerly Big Business on The Coli) always posts dope random shyt; he's dapping that new Sampha album that just came out right now, I'm gonna check it out. Hell Earl Sweatshirt talks about weird nerd shyt on there.

it makes sense. i see alot of my friends i grew up with on FB now complaining about how bad rap is, and how they miss tupac and wutang and shyt, but when i ask them about new dope artists, they have no clue, even with moderately bigger names. im not sending them like, some young lito shyt. theyll know drake and maaaybe some kendrick and thats it. they turn on the radio, hear some top 40 stuff, and then make their assumption, but they make no effort to follow or keep up with the culture at all, yet they still want to go on line and critique it all day.

im :flabbynsick: but i still make time to find new music. theres still a ton thats passing me by too, but i love hip hop, so i will always find a way to stay up to date as much as i can

which is why the whole 'You just follow the opinion of others and you don't dig' criticism is hilarious as fukk.

Y'all saying this are guilty of the same shyt. Except you follow no-names with substandard taste 99.9% of the time. And most sane people don't have time for that shyt. At least the people who wait for 'radio' as y'all conveniently call it expect some sort of a vetting process.

None of those songs with the exception of "For Free" are radio songs by design. the type that get repeated airplay. And I wonder if half of them even touched mainstream radio. Are you really serious right now? :laff:

Frankly, I don't even know why I'm asking your opinion. Looking through that albums list, you have the taste of a rhymesayers cac. You wouldn't know dope hip hop if it slapped you in the face :camby:

:hhh: ok breh

I heard nearly all those songs on the radio. Especially For Free and the French Montana joint. But yo grats on liking some bangers and apparently having zero to say on any albums or mixtapes outside of that one dope project ASAP had 5 years ago.

Music discovery is about diversity. The more voices you trust, the more shyt you find. Especially for shyt like beat tapes that don't get posted much on big rap sites (2dopeboys for instance). I kinda want to make a thread about that shyt...might do it this weekend
:jbhmm:

Rhymesayers :dead:

good talking to you as usual.

Y'all make it seem like y'all actually have to get up and go hiking to find music. Y'all some real weird dudes who never liked rap in the first place

Nah stop going after the lowest hanging fruit.

What we mean is after we go through the Wale, Earl Sweatshirt and Logic we have to go wading through the underground and mixtape rappers to find proper gems.

It's the same in most industries, not rap alone.

If you don't like it, MAKE BETTER MUSIC

Lazy argument, you don't have to be in the rap game to critique just like you don't have to be in it to appreciate the music.

:blessed:

how'd he ruin rap :dwillhuh:

shyt, might as well say Drake ruined rap :lawd:

Lol Wayne is the definition of lazy rapping, scrapping the bottom of the barrel and making an album from it.

And then if you look at the current xanax popping, lean drinking mainstream of today they are all influenced by him. Wayne allowed a lot of wack shyt to fly, so now when it's in overdrive it's a problem.

People have standards all of a sudden but not when Carter had his run.

Drake was going to blow up regardless. Canadian radio rules alone made sure of that, not to mention the machine behind him.

Wayne inspired all types of rappers though:jbhmm:

Not all are xanax, lean drinking fiends. So does he get credit for the Kendricks, Coles & Wales :jbhmm:
