Personally, I love NC. I will say Pat McCrory set the state back BUT he fukked up his own re-election. Also in 2018 there'll be more conservatives losing their seats. It was the 1st time the governor + house = one sided in recent NC history.

Personally I don't do rural but all the city areas are cool. Plenty of healthcare, IT, and other careers here. This isn't the state for "handouts", but if you're hard working w/ a plan = success.

As far as states go I would say MD

I lived in MD for over 12 years and it's not even close to being the best state for Blacks to build wealth due to the sky high cost of Real Estate.

I relocated to ATL and am about to purchase a house that would have easily cost me twice as much in MD.

The Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill (The triangle) is pretty dope, great for singles or raising a family. Good schools and a very educated population, and a great overall quality of life. The police aint as bad either.

Besides housing the cost of living is decent. Salaries are low, I'm a teacher and my wife is a nurse. We both don't get paid very well. She was making like 7gs more in Ohio before she moved here.

Love Charlotte, but it's time to purchase a house. A shytty salary and high housing costs are forcing us to move.

Depends...I got friends in High Point, Durham & Greensboro in 3 different industries and they're all trying to leave. I went to school in Greensboro so I know a little bit about the state and NC is a beautiful place, but long term IDK if I can agree with this

Housing is getting a little ridiculous here. This used to be a place where people with moderate incomes could live nice. That's going away. You still can find some deals but it ain't gonna be in a good school district.

San Antonio is the WORST semi major city i have ever been to as a black man. social scene is fukking garbage amd i didnt encounter many people other than cacs and mescans and the bytches are TURRRRRRIBLE. Not fukking wit Charlotte NC even slightly.

I spent month in SA every year over the corse of 4 years conducting training at the USAA campus. even looking at soulswipe in SA the bytches are

Pay in NC is lower and the places worth living (Triangle, Charlotte) are getting more expensive. My mom was able to get a nice house in Raleigh for a good price back in the 90s, but said she couldn't do that today.
