Unfortunately too many people in our community look up to these brainless souls

Social Media, Love and hip hop, real housewives of Atlanta or whatever city have so many people in our communities especially the poor, thinking that all of them are eating good because they got 5 businesses going on and u like:mjlol::what: HOW ARE U ON TV OR ON SOCIAL MEDIA 24/7 AND U THIS ENTREPRENEUR WITH 5 BUSINESSES FROM REAL ESTATE, PART RESTAURANT OWNER, MUSICIAN(NO MUSIC RELEASED AT ALL), ETC ETC.

U would think our black people are neck to neck with whites on a economic level if u look online and then reality sets in when u see Hispanics and Asians passed us up and we at the bottom..

I always laughed when im watching love and hip Atlanta and all these nikkas do is talking about opening businesses left and right like its so easy , which have people thinking they can simple do 4 different things with no finances

I agree
if you take anyone that "entertains" regardless of the platform
seriously and let them shape your world view then we gotta start self reflecting
Except a large portion of the population do not truly possess what your username is but they think they do. Critical thinking, logic, being able to realize to detach and self reflect are all skills that have to be learned..... and folks out here are too lazy to do it.

With all due respect to anybody who consumes any of that, every single type of content you listed in the OP is an example of a poor media diet.

I don’t and have never consumed any of it (other than porn, obviously). But everything else you listed and everything you described is a type of content I’ve never in my life watched or listened to.

Top to bottom, none of that is a part of my media or entertainment diet.

I’m aware it exists. Ironically, because of this section of this forum. But if I never checked TLR to laugh to myself at the dumb shyt that gets talked about in here ad nauseam, I'd probably have never even heard of most of the things and people you're calling out.

You know how we all listen to music these days, and you've never heard of an artist? Then you hear one song, like it, go to the artist's Spotify page and they've got 10 or 20 songs with 100 million streams each and you wonder "how are they so big but I've never heard of them?"

It's because we create our own media diet and live in our own media silos. We find and attract the things we want. Consciously and subconsciously. The rest falls out of our view, even if it's popular somewhere else or with other people.

As much as people want to feel or believe like algorithms and "agendas" are pushed at them, it kinda doesn't work that way. It's not a psy op being used on the masses because there are millions if not billions of people who spend just as much time as you online who are stuck in different rabbit holes and don't know half the shyt you listed. That isn't to say their rabbit holes are better, it's just to say that your rabbit hole or your bad media diet is not everybody else's.

So if you're seeing too much of something, it's because you're in the wrong places, looking at the wrong things, or circling the wrong personalities.
