This particular talking point is based on fact, though. They're shifting from "election integrity" talk, which was baseless, to this new narrative based on the fact that certain cities are actually letting non-citizens vote.

This definitely not the Democratic Party’s long game. In Takoma, MD, non-citizens have been voting since the early 90s. College Park, MD tried to pass something five years ago and failed. No one else is doing this in Maryland except Takoma.

As already pointed out, Takoma Park MD might as well be Sweeden with how progressive it is/wants to be. They’re not representative enough of Democrats at large to be an idea incubator.
