I actually do know what I'm talking about. My girl still has the 920 (Nexus just came in today) and has used it since a couple of days after it launched. I actually kept tabs on the platform to see if anything has gotten better, but nothing has improved.

What do you mean "nothing" has improved. You can't be taken seriously when you make broad based ignorant comments like that breh.

The app selection/availability is the main issue. That can't be debated. It JUST got a real Youtube app (not just a wrapper around the mobile site). Your blind stanning is why no one takes YOU seriously like that breh.

I didn't spend too much time with it, but it let me do what I wanted til I tried to open up a movie in VLC. Then it said I had to have the paid version for that, I bought it but didnt try it myself yet. ($3) Not sure how productive you can be on a tiny phone screen

Not really productive but if I need to open something save it and send it to myself that would be :ahh:

I know it just got YouTube. We've been had metro tube so you know full well now one was complaining about the lack of a YouTube app. What specific app were you in such desperate need of that makes you so adamant that absolutely nothing as changed? People like your self who are essentially app whores will never be satisfied. To dismiss all the positive features of Lumias and Windows phones simply because their app store doesn't have as many apps as the alternative os's that are 4x as old is the height of stupidity. To be honest you would probably be best off with an iPhone.

The positives of WP8 do not outweigh the negatives for some like me because other platforms (regardless of maturity/etc) do what it does without sacrificing other portions of the experience. It brings a unique UI to the table but little more right now unless you're deep in the Microsoft ecosystem. IOS was worth the effort because it brought something completely new and innovative to the table, Android was worth it because it did much of the same. WP8 WOULD have done the same if it came out years ago, but it's competing for 3rd place due to its timing.

The height of ignorance is asking for an opinion and trying to make yourself feel better when it doesn't fit your bullshyt template. This is at least the 3rd time we've went back and forth with this. Have fun with WP8.

No, you continue to enter my thread, shytting unecessarily on Windows phone when you claim to be thoroughly satisfied with your Nexus. When I point to the superior camera, offline navigation, ease of use, fluid operation, and near flawless performance of the device you then continue to repeat the trite complaint of their "not being enough apps" to suit you. When I say that Windows phone has 85% of the top 50 apps on both ios and Android you then repeat the same nonsense about how nothing has changed and how the app count pales in comparison to the competitors. When I ask you to be specific of what apps you so desperately need you then accuse me of trolling.

We get it. You tried the Nokia lumia for 2 weeks and felt unsatisfied. I'm telling you that your opinion is misinformed and based on old facts. Millions including myself disagree with you opinion. If you think Windows phone sucks and is so far behind the competitors you should probably stay out of Windows Phone threads as its clear your not interested. You really dont need to follow me around, repeating the same outdated nonsense you keep spitting.

Should have launched the 920 like this....

Microsoft and Nokia are in NO position to battle apple or google at the $200 price point. What a missed opportunity

BTW, the app argument doesn't make much sense anymore IMO. the only thing really missing is instagram. Everything else? You can find most if not all you are looking for these days

Dunno, I will take a look at it again. I considered the 920 a few months ago but decided not to due to apps and the closed nature of WP.

It depends on what kind of user you are. Most iPhone users will be fine.

The tough sell is to the android crowd
