That's not dressing "like a dyke" though. That's just dressing comfortably, and not dressing for the male gaze. She's in a hotel lobby, so it stands to reason that she's either been traveling or is fixing to.
There ARE indicators you can look to - is she wearing a Leatherman multi-tool? Does she have a carabiner clip and a huge ring of keys? She might be a butch. A girl in jeans and t-shirt just doesn't give a shyt about being conventionally sexy to your garden variety basic dude.
