If Orton wasnt a two+ time fukkup maybe we couldve got Orton vs Rock

It's deeper than that...there were two mistakes. They turned him after Summerslam and the fans were dead on him when he turned and Cripple H buried him the month after and he had a one month title reign that killed his heat and legitimacy for close to 3 years. Everyone used to always say that Blandy should of kicked Cripple H out of Evolution, he should of kept the theme, and Cripple H should of turned face and went against the group instead. That was the year they had Blandy pretty much following the Rock's career path from 1998 and the Nation.

I think around that time they didn't like eachother because orton shooted on him in and interview, rock told vince about it and that got orton in trouble

It makes sense because rock had been back for what? 2-3yrs? and they don't have 1 picture together or a video or any screen time. my guess is they give eachother the :leostare: stare in the hallways and keep it moving

Blandy said that stuff a couple of years ago but he started to apologize and fall back on that talk after the Rock proved he was the one true draw left in the industry.

They made the right decision or at least one that worked out. Batista for those 6 months are whatever in 2005 was as big a star as they've had since Rock/Austin and was legitimately drawing money moreso than Orton ever has.

All of that was fall out from botching the Orton push. Fans were cheering for Blandy in certain sequences before the Benoit program started. Batista was dead and a nobody at Summerslam 04. He lucked out because he was given strong booking and they deferred to him by Jan 2005 at New Year's Revolution with the little seeds being planted. Fans fell for it for whatever reason and he was pretty over by Rumble 05. He wasn't really drawing anything. He was over in arenas. People get confused with chants in arenas and think that it drew.
