Yall never heard of Shimmer, Shine, Pro Wrestling: Eve or Stardom? All of them been around for years:heh:
Give @R=G credit going back from SOHH he would be the only one hyping up women wrestling and giving them props. He would always post about how shorty in these feds where putting in work especially during the Cena and Triple H reign of terror

The WWE is always the last to jump on board with stuff but the first to take credit for it. Along with Shimmer and various other feds, the Knockouts division were putting on tons of good matches before the WWE even thought about revamping their women’s division, and the WWE didn’t do that on purpose either, it happened cause they were forced to. Then they had Stephanie and the Bellas parade like they were the foundation for all of women’s wrestling:laff::laff:
Hell it was really a perfect storm with everyone being hyped about the women World Cup
Serena was putting in work during that time
The NXT four horsewomen where hot putting in work and putting the main roster chick to shame
Wasn’t Ronda still hot and undefeated too I think
WWE for once actually caught on to something while it was still hot
But in WWE fashion like you said they had to act like Steph and The Bella’s change the game and started the revolution themselves

AJ was the direct catalyst for it, and ended up being the perfect storm like @Green Ranger said. AJ’s tweets + Paige vs Emma laid the groundwork, followed by the NXT 4 Horsewomen. All the Bellas and Steph did was hijack it and revise history.

Remember AJ wanted the female to get more equal TV time to the men and the Bellas left her out to dry on some we are happy no matter what about of TV time we get shyt was a slap in the face.

They didn’t care especially Nikki she was banging the top guy
Why care about your coworkers and future coworkers getting better treatment when you get all the perks from being with Cena

Brand > Individuals

No one is a draw and they created that mess on purpose

Exactly. They don’t want another Rock (and to a lesser extent, Austin) situation where the star doesn’t need them anymore. But this silly company doesn’t realize (or forgot) that more stars = more money and exposure for them. But they rather sell this lifeless, neutered, tame, stock, assembly line brand instead.

Also TNA was taking Women’s Wrestling seriously way back in 2007.

The problem is that most fans refuse to look at any women’s wrestling outside of WWE, most are ignorant as proven by the “NJPW needs a Women’s Division” argument.

Looking back though, 2015-2017 may have been the peak of Women’s Wrestling in WWE, been downhill since.

The fact that they think another Evolution won't be successful without Ronda shows how much faith they have in the women.

The first one was a success in spite of what WWE tried doing to sabotage it. I'm almost certain they wanted it to fail on the level of something like December to Dismember so nobody would talk about doing another one. But it didn't, and now their excuse for not doing Evolution II is "Ronda's not here. We need crossover stars to sell tickets. :troll:"

The women's roster they have now is definitely capable of doing another PPV by themselves. WWE just doesn't want to try it again.
