Also, I can't ignore the concerted effort being made by a lot of men to push this narrative about women not being funny. I think the idea of a genuinely funny woman poses some type of threat to these men's masculinity. That its not about a woman's actual ability to be funny, but that because she is a woman that she just shouldn't be. Like its not her "place" to be.
