Reality Check
Keepin' it 100
I'm not a big fan of their style. These guys no selling their big spots actually kill the heat of their own matches and I think a chunk of viewers will burn out from their shyt if they keep doing this. It's one thing to go full indie when you're not on TV all the time, but doing it on a big stage could wear on people.
But one interesting thing I've noticed is that the Bucks aren't dumb. Them and Kenny aren't going to come out the gate winning and holding all of the titles. They want to build good will with the talent and keep the "anything can happen" feeling on their show. Too many fans nowadays are smart, and being the Kliq 2.0 could backfire on them if it's blatant and it could make them come across as marks for themselves behind the scenes. I think what's going to happen is in kayfabe they're going to start losing more of their matches and realize they are not "Being the Elite." Marty comes in, they go gang gang, turn full heel and superkick party everybody to put themselves over as bad guys who just don't give a fukk and always cheat. You do that, yet play up hard to the crowd for boos, and it will get you cheered in this era.
Fans are backwards because they've seen so much of the generic babyface stuff that being the bad guys is what's entertaining. That's how you make a tweener faction that's over. Whereas right now they're kind of boring and have no real characters, seeing them return to a Bullet Club-like phase will let others breathe and develop in the beginning, and then give them a space to turn this into NWO 2020 before you know it.
Little bit of a difference between The Kliq in 1995 and The Elite in 2019.
