We just want people to get a chance to succeed and not be saddled with a gimmick that’ll torpedo their career from day one. As soon as he got stuck with that gimmick, he was cooked.

I mean I get it... I do... those things only last but so long, it's def. not gonna put you at the top. But on the same token, everybody can't just wear black and be 'serious' either, even tho' that seems to be what people love more now. Fun gimmicks rarely have a place at all as of late. Velveteen is dope tho', he should be crazy over by the time he hits the roster.

Kinda like when "Struggle Rae" got released and she suddenly became this mega-attractive chick who definitely shouldn't have been let go.
Summer Rae was a solid worker who spent most of her main roster career being a valet in shytty storylines. Like No Way Jose it's easy to see how they never even gave her a opportunity while pushing shytty in-ring workers like the Bellas and now Alexa Bliss.

Fair enough, maybe true, but I don't recall anyone here speakin' of her in that kinda regard til she got let go.

I think most fans are well aware of how they undercut certain talent or blatantly misuse them, but with other more prominent stars being misused too (think Sasha) it's hard to care about everyone's struggles in the company. Almost everyone on the roster can be used better than they are now, but it's very understandable that most of us will only make a case for the talent that is actively used on a week to week basis or until the deavors come.

Yea I think after awhile, people just forgot about her. She was injured plus off tv in general for so long. I guess people still remembered that she did have good NXT matches and when she was on TV, she was in entertaining segments (despite that horrendous Dolph/Rusev feud)

They could’ve thrown Roode in the title picture. BUT on RAW only Brock n Roman allowed to be champ.

He should team up with Tyler Breeze as a stand in Fandango that never quite clicks with him. They lose all the time and blame it on their lack of communication and boom there you go, you have an instant jobber tag team that might get over with their quirkiness if they do it right. Wonder why we haven't seen this yet since they're all over those comedy teams with people they have no intention of taking seriously.

The last few NXT and WWE house shows I went to, he was on as the opening match. Those kids love chanting to his music and it gets them hype. It definitely works better at house shows than TV. His in-ring style isn't conducive to what they do nowadays.

And that is what he is there for, he isn't there to be a guy with a push. He's there to warm the crowd up at the start of shows.

Which is why this is funny, because you would assume Meltzer knows that shyt.
