Schools like ITT tech, Devry, Baker College, etc etc we’re allow to operate for many years preying on teenagers to take out life changing debt to sell a dream. There’s usury laws for a reason
they took advantage of people who wanted to pay more to fast stream college

they had no credibility off the jump and people get going because they were supposed to be the easy college route...

you know what they say bout short cuts. life is a hustle and you won't ever take away all the pitfalls you can encounter. arm yourself with knowledge.

if you go to the market everyday buy junk cuz it's fast and easy instead of investing in a healthy diet and food you have to prep/cook then you can't be assed out burned out washed at the other side of your lifespan talking about stores was a scam.

people have to get real about navigating society. when we were in nature we had to deal with predators and other dangers. in these modern societies you will always encounter a different type of predatory energy and it's often motivated by money and preys on negligence ignorance and flat out stupidity. for profit college era is mostly dead and there will be another hustle in the future that affects schools. such is life. none of this makes school a scam.

you are also discussing the cost of school which might be ridiculous but that still isn't a scam it's capitalism.

Im not comfortable with accountability only being on the shoulders of the debtor and not the schools, govt, administrators. They ALL share in the system being what it is. If you give a giant loan to someone you know can’t pay it back, whoever giving the loan has a responsibility too. You say those degree mills aren’t ‘real schools’ but they were allowed to operate with little oversight and many of them are now shut down. Why should anyone pay back debt to those schools?

I agree with your point. I don't think it should fall on just the debtor alone.

i think they had a ruling about those specifically and their student loans

yeah there was a thread, i posted that my good friend had over $100k forgiven and is now debt free! we rich!!!! :blessed:

Biden Admin relaxes rules for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.

the fed government is the largest employer of black people in the country, aside from walmart. but that stat doesn't include all of the state and local gov jobs and other public positions that can qualify for this that are no doubt major employers of black people (depending on location of course lol). let's go Joe!

so i was having dinner with the girls last night. my friend says "i got good news" :lupe:
apparently she got REFUNDED any payments she made over the 120. she had 30 checks in the mail!!!!!
WE RICH!!!
this might be one of the most impactful moves i've witnessed in real time, as far as changing someone's life. :ohlawd:
i know yall know a nurse/doctor/teacher someone who works for the government out here, tell them to fill out that form and see what it it can do!
THANKS JOE, KEEP GOING!!!!

The programs ain't a problem.

College is a scam. You can have all the education and certifications in your field and still not get hired. Still make minimum wage, still not get the best wages. And unlike other fukking countries our loans aren't based on our income, if we even are employed. It's just "oh well, you went and they are due!"

College is not the only way to be a success, to be a professional, to obtain knowledge, experience and guidance.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with seeking information, wanting to be educated. It doesn't matter if you are in basket weaving or biomechanical engineering. The problem becomes when they start to put prices on those programs. You know how many good people quit because of price? How many good candidates don't even try?

You already know a black college graduate and a white college graduate coming out of the same school, the same year with the same degree in the same field will not make the same amount of money.

That's not a YOU problem and that's not a ME problem.

College is cool and fun but it's a racket.

Exactly. Pricing is so outrageous, that it is going to collapse the economic model altogether. College enrollmentz are down by EVERY male demographic, even white males by a significent margin. Even rich immigrants are, foregoing touching an American college campus due to pricing. So bad, that colleges may shut down in another decade.

Prices have to come down.

Look at the price of books, hardcover/soft cover and even digital. Tell me how that isn't a scam.

And the 'editions'? A whole fukking scam. My took abornmal psychology, I had the 5th edition or some shyt, the rest of the class had the 6th.
The ONLY thing they did was shuffle the chapters. Like their chapter 3 was my chapter 8 and my chapter 2 was there chapter 5. Same paragraphs, same pictures. Just different order. No new info added, no new pictures. My classmates were heated it was like $215 for their book and like $90 for mine.

Even the teacher was like :lolbron:.

Look at the prices of the same programs within your state and see the descrepancies and then look nationwide.

It's a whole fukking scam.

People figured that out many years ago. Which is why men of all races not attending colleges anymore. Its only a matter of time before BASIC INCOME becomes a reality.
