Sooo....Carson Wentz has 10 TDs and 0 INTs against the blitz.
Remember when we were unbalanced and Wentz was leading the team in rushing? Yesterday we rushed over 30 times for 200 yards against the (previously) #1-ranked defense in the league. We now have the 3rd ranked rushing game in the league, went from ashy and nasty to classy.
GROWTH, brothers...real growth.
I keep telling y'all...Corey Clement is the truth. We've known that kid and his mom for years, she's awesome people and he deserves all this success. AND, he's mad ballin right now, we LEGIT got three dangerous backs.
All that said... this team has to guard against complacency at this point. It is a very dangerous time, with all the back-patting and dikkriding they will be experiencing over the bye week, going into the Dallas game. They gotta stay hungry, and not get caught up in the hype. I know we need the bye week to get healthy, but I almost don't want it because we're in such a rhythm right now.... that's something else I'm worried about two weeks from now, as our next five games are gonna be the toughest part of our schedule. We're 8-1...realistically, how well do we expect to finish the second half of the season? It's really only going to take about 3-4 more wins to wrap up the division, at which point we would need to be looking to wrap up home field throughout the NFC playoffs. If we look at the schedule, that's a challenging (though doable) task:
Nov 19@DAL 8:30-NBC
Nov 26CHI1:00-FOX
Dec 3@SEA8:30-NBC
Dec 10@LAR4:25-FOX
Dec 17@NYG1:00-FOX
Dec 25OAK8:30-ESPN
Dec 31DAL
This team cannot get complacent, they gotta maintain this killer mentality.
Overall, HUUUGE win over a GREAT not good defense, hangin a 50 burger on them hoes really made a statement. Team is looking really good at home this year.
Carson for MVP!!
