Above the fray.
Questions like this make me wonder whether this forum is full of people who haven’t had any interactions with people in real life, or whether it’s all just disingenuous trolling around black pathology. The entire jock vs nerd dynamic was created by white men. Specifically to belittle men who are deemed too smart and less masculine. It’s been ingrained in media for decades. From the original Nutty Professor to Back To The Future.

.
It's a bit of a reach, but educators have said for decades that this type of mentality factors into young Black men and generally poor academic performance/test scores.

That there exists a real life stigma in some of these environments to doing well in school.
These other communities don't have these problems to the extent that ours do.

Just a shower thought that occurred to me right now.

Black people are the only community that has terms like “educated lame” or “nikka nerd” or other disparaging terms specifically for smart or educated people of their race.

I’ve never seen Chinese call themselves or other Chinese “educated chinks” or “chink nerd”. Like ever. No such terms for Jews, wasp white Americans, Indians or any other racial/ethnic group. Just black people do this. It’s strange

But if I’m wrong, please point out who else is doing this. Genuinely curious
it's deep self hatred

Facts.. Because in reality both the nerds and the dummies can work together.. I see this all the time within the trades.. The smart white people run the operation while the less educated white boy is doing all the work..

Black people could've mimicked that same platform in the community.. But we try to take part in this white mans system of doing things.. Now here we are.

Someone who is "stupid" can have other skills. People forget you can be smart in imagination or reasoning
If someone is dumb in reasoning they can still be incredibly smart in terms of their creativity, smarter than a "smart" person
A lot of smart people I met in college doing my math and bio degree lacked creativity while some were blessed with intellect(reasoning) and an active imagination(creativity)
I also met people who I judged and thought were stupid only to realize they had skills I wish I had in other contexts
Unlike most people I learn from others instead of being a crab in the barrel. Or at least I try not to be.

no can you please tell me what the correlation is from your question about gangs to kids being bullied for being nerds? I'm really not seeing it.

Because the outsiders are always picked on by insecure people. People hide insecurities with toughness and anger.. It could range from having better shoes than them to being smarter than them..

Thats all..

Never heard the term "educated lame" in my life.

Edit: The op was defending PragerU in another thread. It should be obvious what this thread is really trying to push.

Dummies?

It wouldn't have to be mimicking whites, though.
The Black Wall Streets, Gold Coast, etc stories of thriving Black communities were based on entire economies controlled by Blacks. With the business leaders controlling and distributing resources to the rest of the community. Jobs, loans, services, goods.

Not about anybody being a dummy, but everybody playing their part in the economy.
