I'm not going to comment on Geno's ranking, but I doubt Mariota would have beaten out Vick last year. Geno, however, beat out Vick in camp last year in the short and intermediate game.Mariota, for all his accolades, is not accurate enough downfield to match Vick so he'll have to throw short and intermediate better than Geno right now. Beating Geno will a task in and of itself since he looked very good coming out of camp last year and at the end of last season. Mariota, meanwhile, has never taken a NFL snap and has glaring footwork as well as anticipation issues. His arm isn't stronger than Geno's either. He'll have to play the athletic guy and scramble to throw against NYJ corners. That won't win him the job like that didn't win Vick the job. Dude is not enough a pocket passer.

Incredibly odd fit. They have no QB up there. If you're going to take a 1 year deal to rebuild your value, why would you go up to Buffalo with Rex?

Brehs.. so with the 6th pick do we go for a burner like White or trade with say Cleveland and get there 2 ffirst rounders.. We need to strengthen that O-Line. need a running back. in the later rounds (dont know how far Gordon or Gurley will fall)

Truthfully, I don't envy MacCagnan and co at all for having to make that decision if it comes to it. I don't envy have a solid opinion either way. I'm down for whatever.
