Geno Smith- fourteen games played, two above average ratings (Min and Mia), two average ratings, and nine below average ratings. When sacked, average time from snap to sack was 4.28 seconds, tops in the NFL. Aaron Rodgers was second at 3.97. Time from snap to pass attempt was 2.79 seconds, second in the NFL to Russell Wilson at 2.89. Completed 31.1% of passes of over 20 yards, fourth worst, ahead of Bortles, Locker and Carr.

It's not all the o-line guys.

Draft Insider Tony Pauline reported what to expect from the Jets come Free Agency...

Getting back to the New York Jets, I spoke with a league insiders about the teams free agency plans. I was told the Jets intend to be big players in the free agent market, specifically on defense. I’m told they will target outside linebackers and cornerbacks as big ticket items. They evidently will look for younger, taller corners. Potential free agents who fit the mold include Davon House, Chris Culliver and someone familiar to the teams new general manager Bob Maccagnan, Kareem Jackson. I’m told they will look to add depth on the defensive line and hope to add a mid-value guard, someone that won’t cost a lot of money. When asked if the Jets would go after Mike Iupati the response was, “the present belief around the league is they won’t spend $8 million for Iupati.”

The Jets are considered one of the "primary suitors" for free agent CB Byron Maxwell.

The New York Post's Brian Costello heard at the Combine the Jets and Eagles are "the two teams fighting for him." Antonio Cromartie also makes sense for the Jets given his familiarity with the organization, but that's only if they miss on Maxwell. New York could free up cap room for Maxwell by dropping underachieving wideout Percy Harvin

Proves he had to wait on bums to get open and his inability to throw the ball away

The stats is misleading. Geno's mobility allows him to escape sacks for longer periods than other QBs, similar to Rodgers, but sacks still come because of the initial jailbreak which leads Geno to attempt escape routines. The fact Geno's play immediately improved after Winter's benching implies the line is partly to blame. The receivers also share blame. And as NYC Rebel says, Geno doesn't like to throw the ball away. I don't particularly like a QB to throw the ball away either, and Rodgers/Wilson/Big Ben rarely do, so I'm fine with that tendency. We need to upgrade the line and receivers'.

Stat shows he had no idea what he's doing pre-snap. Gaileys offense is more one-read so it could help I guess.

Fwiw- Geno ranked third in the NFL in time "from snap to scramble" at 5.66 seconds on plays where he did take off, so even when the protection broke down it was often due to him holding on to the ball too long.
