As a causal observer of the Bulls living in the Chicagoland area, I've come to feel that sometimes, they win in spite of Thibs. If it were not for the extreme maturation of Jimmy Butler's game this year, the Bulls would have probably been a first round exit this year in the playoffs. Given that I'm not a part of the See Red Nation, I feel objective enough to state this. GarPax are doofus people, but they have had some contributions to the composition of this team. They have given Thibs the best team he will ever have. I'm not all that enamored with Thibs because when you look at plays out of timeouts, the Bulls calls some stupid shyt most of the time. If players can grow, as to should coaches. For years, people have complained about the same thing with Tom. His loyalty to fallen players (Kirk Hinrich) and minutes, running people into the ground (Luol Deng). I do think that the Bulls bench is overrated, thought there is no reason as to why the Bulls shouldn't be resting, waiting for the Wiz and Hawks series to be over. Suspensions, injuries all on the Cavs side and even with LeBron, this should have been a 4-1 series in favor of the Bulls, looking at the talent. I don't see Thibs as a genius, I see him as merely a great defensive scheme coach that doesn't have the slightest clue about offense and when it comes time to run half court sets in the playoffs and teams pack the lane, you get off balance threes like Butler shot last night. Bulls and their coach needs to part ways.
