If we're going off of last game, the bulls just weren't able to string together defensive rebounds to stop Cleveland's runs... even with Pau and Noah in there. Pau just wasn't doing it against TT... and Noah despite knowing that James Jones' entire purpose in life is to stand behind the 3point line to shoot an uncontested 3 from the baseline, still gravitated towards the paint every time to leave Jones wide open. There was literally a sequence where Noah did that, Lebron passed it to Jones wide open, Jones missed, TT got the rebound, gave it to Lebron, Noah did it again, Lebron passed it to Jones again, Jones makes it.
So in truth, if the Cavs are going small with James Jones at the 4 (really Lebron, but Butler will be on him), I don't think it's a bad idea for Mirotic to match up with James Jones. At the end of the day, it'll be up to Gasol (or Gibson) to block out TT regardless, and the rest of the bulls to gang rebound.
If not Mirotic then Gibson just needs more minutes over Noah. Right now dude can't hit free throws, can't make layups, doesn't have confidence to finish any post up attempts so he just kinda dribbles in place before stopping and looking for someone to bail him out... I mean, the other Bulls players have to play better too, they shouldn't be off the hook but the Noah issue is just glaring at this point, regardless of if they win or lose games.
