This is a reason why I think you have to judge Justin Fields on a curve this year. This is malfeasance here from the front office. It reads like a concerted effort to tank and they just aren't going out like that.

Poles inherited a terrible cap situation and old roster. He correctly tore it down and collected some extra draft capital. They had no room to add serious talent this season. Everyone acting like Poles is sabotaging Justin lack context. It was always an evaluation year and spend next offseason and have full picks

Thanks for the clarification. However, when you objectively observe someone, you have to give them something tangible to work with to see or gauge the competence, coaches or players. It took tonight for the Bears to seemingly call plays that were designed with Justin in mind. Designed runs and such. It seemed like they were trying to make Justin be what they wanted him to be instead of tailoring the offense to what he is.

Well you’re making assumptions on how they observing or grading Justin imo. Poles spoke before the game yesterday and was pretty clear in his support of Fields and how they are watching his development. I think he’s checking a lot of boxes right now for them
