yep, he looks slow out there because he cant make quick decisions
only Vick & RGIII have fastest recorded 40 times at the combine for a QB (Lamar didnt run it) but he doesnt look nearly that quick on the field due to his hesitancy / lack of awareness negating his speed
its wild to me how many times Ive seen him get caught up by DL & LBs
There have been too many times I've seen him look like he's not going full speed on those type of plays (broken plays, scrambles etc). It's like he underestimates the speed of these defenses and their tackling ability.
I know he's shown flashes, but he's not consistent with anything. Even that run, if we could say, well at least we can bank on that every game and he'll get better with passing I don't think anyone would be pressed. There are plenty of plays you could pull up where he's not even close to breaking a play like that.
