Serv had his moments, but neither album was good IMO. I've listened to his material post-No Limit and it's about even with his NL material.
Life Insurance is considered a really good album by pretty much everyone except you. Quite a few excellent songs on there like Heaven Is So Close, Best Friend, Hustlin', It's Real, Tryin' Take Make It Out....

Da Next Level was a big letdown, just like Silkk's and C's albums around that period

Life insurance is his best album. As an overall rapper wasn't in to him like that.

Folks try and clown Silkk, Serv was worse in my opinion

Whats :hhh: to me is the fact that Serv switched his style up after his first album into a total mess.
Dude became Silkk 2.0 with just the same hit or miss approach.
I remember listening to "Wooo" from the mac album while working out and I was like :gucci: @Servs off beat bullshyt verse

(starts at 2:00) his new flow was horrible most times, no idea why he did that shyt. He said he was influenced by Mystikal n Silkk...

Compare that to his excellent verse (only half a year before or so) starting at 3:25

I may be in the minority on Life Insurance. That's perfectly fine. I've gone back and listened to that a couple of times and I just don't like it all that much. Didn't say it was wack, but it wasn't good either, just there. I mean, you listed 5/18 songs.

Are there any good podcasts with Master P or any other No Limit artists? It's a damn shame there hasn't been any in depth documentary on them yet

Yeah Serv On used to be a dope rapper, I especially like his part on "Going Through Somethangs" on Ghetto D for example
But that off beat choppy flow was :hhh:
