this was a solid album to me

RIP The assassin
also one of the few that had a TRU tattoo
Real messed up how he died and I remember first hearing that album and thinking it was ok especially my entourage track. But I gotta respectfully disagree on it being "solid". Looking back that shyt was horrible even by NL standards in '98.

Listening to it now is even worse. He couldn't rhyme for shyt. Him, serv-on, silkk, full blooded, skull duggery were horrible and put out lack lackluster albums except silkk's 2nd album which was carried by BBTP.

With that being said P was loyal and gave everyone a shot. I wish NL hadn't folded because Holloway of GC was prepping for a solo release. He could rhyme & sing which a lot of guys weren't doing back then.

opinions of this album?

might be my favorite no limit album
that artwork >
I agree with @M.DOT

Some absolutely stunning beats (4ever TRU, U Don't Wanna, Rainy Dayz...), plus some cuts where she was able to showcase her rapping/MC abilities (Let's Get It Straight, I Pity U, Ain't To Be Played With...)

Surely a top 10 NL album, almost flawless, didn't care for I'll Take Ya Man 97 or All N's too much tho

What's the name of the track that Mystikal did before joining NL?

I'm not talking about the song off the Bout It Bout IT soundtrack, there's another track/song out there he did before or right when he signed with NL

I can't remember the name of the song?

I wanna say it was also a solo song, I have heard that song 1 time, so it may be a rare find (I may be wrong) you nikkas know your info, so yall may have heard it multiple times

I still say Bleed's Balls and My Word is a top 3 No Limit album

I can listen to that front to back easily on the regular

Happy Perez is underrated as fukk as a producer too btw

Absolutely. Keep It Real was produced by KLC and him. The Genuwine sample :wow:

Da Last Outlaw is probably my favorite track on there though

Bring the noise makes me want to commit a crime

Love it, Happy P and BBTP created a great genuine sound for that album, and Bleed came thru with his Snoop-like relaxed southern drawl

Poppa's Got A Brand New Bag and Better Than The Last Time are my favorite cuts

The original version of How you do that had such a huge impact locally and having P and C-loc added on there just made it even more big.

That song without P and Loc was already crazy when it came out.

The only thing I wanted from that Bleed album was more cuts on there like "Better than the Last time"

C-Loc is so underrated. Both on the mic and the talent he put in the game. Don't get enough credit

Concentration Camp one of the South most slept on crews. Them group albums they did were all fire

Listen I'm not trying to change your mind here. Now I will say there are still some verses where Silkk is doing a little too much; but as a younger fan, I thought Silkk was trash too and I would agree the production carried him. However, as an older listener and understanding what his style was (in my opinion) he was one of the best on No limit.

Again not trying to change your mind, but if you haven't done so, revisit some of his stuff and try giving him a second chance
