One of the most :snoop: things at NL was when Mr Serv On switched his flow up to sound exactly like Silkk, also taking his extreme hit or miss approach.
Da Next Level was one of the worst NL albums imo. Couldn't listen to many cuts because of Serv's horrible flow and repetitive lyrics. The soldier song was hot tho C and Fiend ATE Serv on his own album opener

Anyone know the reason why P include everybody on that 504 boyz?

At first, I don't know if ppl know but it was just P and Mystikal as the 504 boyz and then they added Silkk and then more of the artist joined the group, but it was supposed to be a P and Mystikal album

Mystikal and C/MP were not on good terms at that point. Maybe it had to do with the Monica thing, who knows. Maybe the Miller boys were jealous because of his popularity and bigger critical acclaim. He didn't want to leave No Limit tho, neither did Fiend

Mystikal only had two new verses on the 504 Boyz album (his Wobble Wobble verse was some chopped old bullshyt). He did one track each on Silkk's and C-Murder's albums tho

breh i remember wanting Da Next Level SOOOO bad just for the cover and because i saw Serv On on Rap City and i finally heard that album :scust:

some albums grow with time or i get older and can understand it better and Da Next Level is not one of those albums. that shyt is garbage and pretty much unlistenable. how you go from his first album to that?

Silkk dropped a classic with Charge it 2 Da Game and followed it up with that horrible Made Man album too :snoop:

i cant believe how long i liked NL after they fell off...last shyt i might have actually bought was Da Crime Family album by TRU...when my tru homies call me, i'll be there :manny:

Where’s Mercedes???:shaq:
I was just thinking this while reading the thread. Was listening to her Rear End the other day. I fukked with all that No Limit shyt hard. TRU is a super group, Mac (!) I mean I could name hella artists and producers.

They opened the doors for black ownership.

No P: no Cash money. Simple as that imo.

Everybody who lived that era remembers the Source advertisements, the album release dates, the insane amount of music they put out, the straight-to-VHS movies... they worked hard af.

P is that nikka, a true hustler and entrepreneur and he wasn’t wack at rapping - he had a lot of energy and he knew how to convey that gangster hustler emotion. There’s no doubt: P’s a Legend and his team is Legendary.

Good to see The Coli fukk with No Limit, I still go back and bump their albums from time to time. First label to get and stay excited about after Death Row’s demise.
