Yeah disc 1 is better. First half of disc 2 doesn't do it for me. Too many samples (str8 up), So Many Souls Deceased and Gangsta B are ok, More 2 Life is the only really good song there for meThe red disc is heat. The blue disc only has 2-3 songs I like:
Hot Boyz & Hot Girlz
Eternity
Let's Get Em
P had one too many remakes of songs off Ghetto D when the originals were perfect as is. No Mystikal on "Mke Em Say Ughh" Pt. 2 and "Let's Get Em" was disappointing.
opinions of the lil soldiers boot camp cd lol @JustCKing @No Hook @OHSNAP!
They came out before bow wow or even romeo
Ke'noe had a dope beat on here, smh should've gave that to mac, c, fiend, magic or soulja slim (he was knocked at the time though)
Transition time for NL from high quality albums to fast food
Quality stuff (Eternity, More 2 Life, War Wounds, Streets Keep Me Rollin') and fast food (Thug Girl, Let My 9 Get Em, Ghetto Life, Ghetto Love, Snitches, Dead & Gone) and everything in between. Not enough time to craft a quality album I guess. The guest (Bone, E-40, UGK) and Mac features were meh unfortunately. Too much filler. Subpar singles, too many rehashes, too much Pac bitin'
I was a big fan of “Get Your Paper” with E-40. I just looked up the production credits and it says that Master P produced that song along with “Goodbye To My Homies.”
Anybody know what the deal is with that? I find it hard to believe he did that “Get Your Paper” beat all on his own.
Tried to look up if he has producer credit on anything else but unfortunately Discogs lists Executive Producer credits in the list of Producer credits. Would have to look at every individual release to try to find songs he produced.
Probably Mark In Tha Dark who ghost-produced it. Or DJ DarrylI was a big fan of “Get Your Paper” with E-40. I just looked up the production credits and it says that Master P produced that song along with “Goodbye To My Homies.”

Yeah they also had a banger cut on Only God Can Judge Me album ("commercial"). Also had the song Young Gunz on their Ghetto Organized album. It was the youngest of GF (Reginelli & Malachi) as a group, later on part of TRU RecordsSo was young gunz a group in gambino family because they were on that lil soldiers album as well @OHSNAP!
Some nice beats on it, JustCKing posted some already. Last song was my favorite by far, should have used that beat for C or Macopinions of the lil soldiers boot camp cd lol @JustCKing @No Hook @OHSNAP!

^^^ these were the only bangers on that album IMO. "Tank In My Hand" had Mia X sounding like it was her farewell to the tank.
Yeah, but listening to the first 9-10 songs, the order is all over the place. There's no real flow:
1. I'm A Soldier- rowdy, soldier posse cut
2. Give Me The World- mafiosos joint
3. Throw Your Hood Up- another rowdy joint
4. Just Be Straight With Me- kind of keeps the pace from the previous song despite the Destiny's Child feature
5. If I Don't Gotta- dope introspective joint that slows things down a bit, but is out of place
6. Spotaggin- pointless interlude
7. We Can Dance
8. Mama Always Told- now if this transitioned from "Just Be Straight" into "If I Don't Gotta", it would make more sense.
9. You Ain't Gotta Lie To Kick It- should be before or after "We Can Dance".
10. Thug N Me- changes pace of the album
Personally, I would've put "It Ain't My Fault" and "Let Me Hit It" earlier in the album. "Give Me The World" and "Who Can I Trust" should be closer together. "Who I Be" should be earlier too. "How Many" should've been the last song. Perfect closer in my opinion.
In all honesty, Charge It 2 Da Game was all over the place too, but the songs were far better. It went unnoticed and didn't matter because the songs were THAT good.
Kinda, I mean CI2DG didn't have mega soft songs (last cut, tribute to Kevin Miller, was excellent), alot of hard shyt (We Can Dance, Throw Yo Hood Up, I'm A Soldier), alot of opulent mafioso sounding stuff (Who Can I Trust, Give Me The World, How Many, Mama Always Told Me) and a couple of hoe cuts, twas a well-done and nicely balanced album imo
who was who in Steady Mobb'n? for example on thisYeah I liked the PS, Gambinos, Ghetto Commission and Steady Mobb'n albums that came out within two months! Bust Back, Tweekin (Uzi solo, he was their best spitter, Gotti was Gambino's best one, Holloway for GCs, Crooked Eye for SM) and Liquidation Of The Ghetto (way underrated) were my faves
