Mystikal was a NL fan favorite, but that post-NL was a monster worldwide.

Shake It Fast
Danger
Stutter (Remix)
Bouncin Back
Tarantula
Move B*tch

This.

Mystikal's best days were pre Let's Get Ready, but that album definitely made him a monster. He was finally getting his just due across the board.

Creatively and musically, Unpredictable still remains his best work.

Production, concepts, hooks, lyrics, features...Unpredictable is easily his best work. Let's Get Ready time period made him a worldwide star though (not megastar but still)

Funny shyt is C Murder trapped in crime is better than Bossaline and Silkk My World My Way is better than Made Man.. Beats by the pound were finished before they left. 400 songs in one year can do that.
Exactly. Unfortunately many fans were burnt out and didn't even bother to check out TIC (really good album) and MWMW (decent)

P made a lot of mistakes. He constantly talked down on white business men.. He tried to teach black people they don't need the white man and what did you think would happen next.. The white man put all their money and promotion into CMR who taught the complete opposite.. They were about flashing and spending money..
P sometimes admits to making some mistakes, or some business going down, but never outright names it. That's what I don't like bout him. He'd never admit blackballing King George, CMR, Magic, Serv, Pastor Troy (kinda understandable but still), BBTP etc (I know C didn't like P blackballing his friends/former NL soldiers). He'd never admit grownman-nappin' Pimp C. He'd never admit doing too many outside ventures that hurt NL's music business in 99

The advance versions of those albums were even better. I hate that they took "Trapped In Crime" (title track), "Uptown Thing", the original "That Calliope", and original "What You Bout" off that album.

They ruined "Them Boyz" on the retail version of MWMW. The one from the advance had that "It Ain't My Fault" feel to it.

mystikal was a rap fan favorite PERIOD. he wasnt just a no limit favorite.

and while i understand why mystikal left because he shouldve been bigger, he alienated his core audience and high-key ruined his legacy in the process. all you listed was a bunch of commercial chit that you cant build a core audience on. people who were too young for the tank, look at mystikal as a pop rapper.

if it wasnt for his no limit run, he would be flo-rida status. most people dont really know "mind of mystikal" all like that.

P blocking Cash Money from a nationwide deal made it to where CMR was now full business enemies. That likely helped fuel Universal to promote 400 Degreez even harder to eliminate NL and take all their marketshare.

lol. that didnt fuel anything for universal.

you think universal gave a f*ck about how CMR felt about no limit?

universal wanted to buy no limit and got turned down. more importantly, them folks wanted master p out the paint. thats why cash money got pushed so hard. universal wasnt doing them any favors out the goodness of their hearts.

baby used to talk his chit about the white man too, but it was just talk. he wasnt about empowerment. he didnt even empower his own artists, and his artists were the draws of the label, not baby.

most people would brag about the bolded.

i dont know why youre criticizing P for not putting that out there.

Not about bragging, bout being truthful. Like all bosses (from mafia to legal business), he won't tell the whole truth bout anything, and keep his mouth shut on dangerous topics. With time I'm sure he understood he made alot of mistakes that hindered NL having a longer successful run

He didn't really alienate his core audience he gained a new one with Let's Get Ready and lost fans on both sides of the aisle with Tarantula. Mystikal was far from Flo-Rida status. "Shake It Fast" was all in fun no different than "Sleepin With Me" from Unpredictable. Where he lost fans with Tarantula is that it was his 5th album and he was rehashing old ideas and even songs at that point. It also did not have a huge hit to attract his newfound audience and while that album has songs for his core listeners, most had moved on at that point.

You must not get out to realize how big Shake It Fast alone still is. That post-NL run of hits is the exact reason he still tours and gets features despite the convictions.

Honestly, his NL run had memorable features but it didn't produce any real solo hits for him. "Man Right Chea" is my junt, but it's really a part two of his 2nd biggest Black song, "Here I Go."

Soon as that beat hits on "Here I Go":blessed:

No Mystikal song from his two No Limit albums is gonna get anywhere close to the reaction of Here I Go or his post-NL hits (I Smell Smoke is close tho). Even tho Unpredictable is his best album, he leveled up overall and he wouldn't have been able to do that on NL.

Reggie Wright saying P and Snoop lying in No Limit Chronicles

Reggie said Snoop sold 10m on death row.. Does that include Dre album? I only see 6m on riaa.com

He said Master P lying by saying only a couple mil to buy Snoop.. He said it was 4.5m.. Did Reggie ever consider that maybe 4.5m is a couple mil to Master P... I don't see lies... I see people with different perspectives of what happened..
