Production, concepts, hooks, lyrics, features...Unpredictable is easily his best work. Let's Get Ready time period made him a worldwide star though (not megastar but still)
Exactly. Unfortunately many fans were burnt out and didn't even bother to check out TIC (really good album) and MWMW (decent)
P sometimes admits to making some mistakes, or some business going down, but never outright names it. That's what I don't like bout him. He'd never admit blackballing King George, CMR, Magic, Serv, Pastor Troy (kinda understandable but still), BBTP etc (I know C didn't like P blackballing his friends/former NL soldiers). He'd never admit grownman-nappin' Pimp C. He'd never admit doing too many outside ventures that hurt NL's music business in 99
The advance versions of those albums were even better. I hate that they took "Trapped In Crime" (title track), "Uptown Thing", the original "That Calliope", and original "What You Bout" off that album.
They ruined "Them Boyz" on the retail version of MWMW. The one from the advance had that "It Ain't My Fault" feel to it.

mystikal was a rap fan favorite PERIOD. he wasnt just a no limit favorite.
and while i understand why mystikal left because he shouldve been bigger, he alienated his core audience and high-key ruined his legacy in the process. all you listed was a bunch of commercial chit that you cant build a core audience on. people who were too young for the tank, look at mystikal as a pop rapper.

He didn't really alienate his core audience he gained a new one with Let's Get Ready and lost fans on both sides of the aisle with Tarantula. Mystikal was far from Flo-Rida status. "Shake It Fast" was all in fun no different than "Sleepin With Me" from Unpredictable. Where he lost fans with Tarantula is that it was his 5th album and he was rehashing old ideas and even songs at that point. It also did not have a huge hit to attract his newfound audience and while that album has songs for his core listeners, most had moved on at that point.

You must not get out to realize how big Shake It Fast alone still is. That post-NL run of hits is the exact reason he still tours and gets features despite the convictions.
Honestly, his NL run had memorable features but it didn't produce any real solo hits for him. "Man Right Chea" is my junt, but it's really a part two of his 2nd biggest Black song, "Here I Go."
Soon as that beat hits on "Here I Go"
No Mystikal song from his two No Limit albums is gonna get anywhere close to the reaction of Here I Go or his post-NL hits (I Smell Smoke is close tho). Even tho Unpredictable is his best album, he leveled up overall and he wouldn't have been able to do that on NL.
