True. I noticed they didn't mention when P went on that crusade for people to "clean up rap" and not curse back in 2007

Master P has cleaned up his rap and now he wants the rest of the hip-hop world to do the same.

The reformed gangsta rapper who is pioneering clean lyrics will testify tomorrow at a congressional hearing on stereotypes and degradation in rap and hip hop.

"I used to be part of the problem, but I've matured," Master P, whose real name is Percy Miller, told the Daily News during a recent trip to Harlem.

So far, Miller is the only rap artist who has agreed to testify at the hearing, "From Imus to Industry: The Business of Stereotypes and Degradation."

"I am not trying to take away anyone's freedom of speech," said Miller, 40. "I'm concerned about the constant use of profanity. And it's time to clean up hip hop in order to preserve it for the next generation."

He said he started singing a new song when he constantly had to turn down the radio to avoid raunchy lyrics when he and his wife, Sonya, were with their seven children.
He went on to create his own record label to promote performers with clean lyrics.
Miller and his actor-rapper son Lil' Romeo formed The Miller Boyz under the label and recently released the album "Hip-Hop History."
They've got an exclusive deal to sell the profanity-free CD in Wal-Mart.

The rapper insisted he's not trying to put down other rappers who use explicit lyrics. He blames music moguls who encourage hip-hop artists to push the envelope.

"We need to clean up our lyrics, but not turn our backs on the entire hip-hop community because they're not the problem," said Miller. "The artists are the puppets who are controlled by the puppeteers. It's time for accountability."

And in true P fashion, he only did that as a last ditch effort to ride the last bit Romeo's Nickelodeon run. He was right back to cussing a few years later when that PG money dried up:russ:.

They pretty much explained this when he said he had to change after he realized he was a target.. That Mac case seems strange as hell.. It's clear they wanted P.. Soulja Slim getting killed in front of his mother house on Thanksgiving.. Not to mention his cousin Hot Boy Jimmy got killed. People go through changes man.

It was a pretty good documentary overall. P is a good dude, he put a lot of people on and gave them an opportunity. He has done a lot of corny shyt the last 10 years or so but he made a good impact on the game.

Mac case is just tragic as hell and it doesn't look like C will ever get out. I actually thought Post Nolimit Fiend would actually blow up but he never made any noise post nolimit. Only snoop & mystikal honesty..

I also heard that Holloway from The Ghetto Commission was working on a solo album for nolimit when things fell apart. I know BBTP owns the catalog but it would be dope to hear all the unreleased albums and songs because there is a lot, KLC has said that numerous times...

Actually KLC has said opposite. He said they really did put out almost everything they recorded to meet those release dates with 20 tracks minimum per album.

It's not much in the vault because they didn't have time to waste and had no quality control. They didn't even mix any of the songs.

seems like he has changed his story over the years. He said the tank doggs album was done. But given the pace they were working, it does also make sense given the rapid pace they had that there isn't much there.. Who knows..
